There is nothing more innate to the human form than existing in relationship with the Divine.
We are created for this connection as ingeniously and specifically as a well draws water from the ground. The foundational light of God resides in all beings, but like untapped ground waters, the light can not fully express through and nourish us unless it is first revealed, then contained and embodied.
Inner Currents exists for individuals seeking to strengthen their connection to the Divine, through relationship to God and the structural healing of the spiritual body at the subtle and causal levels. We seek to repair and shore up the inner well, which is almost universally compromised by lifetimes of trauma, interlocking karmas, and subtle body obstructions. Although we belong to no specific tradition or lineage, we draw from the practices and insights of Veda, Yogic tantra, Vajrayana Buddhism, Daoism, Astrology and planetary remediation, as well as the knowledge, gifts, and siddhis of our facilitators and members. We orient ourselves fundamentally toward God, with trust that while there are many paths to healing and spiritual accomplishment, there is none more eminently good and direct as the inner guidance which flows from Bhakti: love, devotion and personal relationship with a form of the Divine or God-realized being.
While many spiritual communities expect adherents to venerate or follow the same guru, deity or predetermined spiritual path, at Inner Currents, we encourage each individual to cultivate a Bhakti relationship with the Divine personality who feels most personal, intimate and supportive to them. It is our conviction that this relationship is primary to spiritual development, guiding each individual’s unique practice and bestowing integral virtues, wisdom, and gifts no external teacher could as effectively or profoundly transmit.
To this end, our community offerings fall along two primary tracts: healing and cultivation. By healing the spiritual body, we free up internal space, foster balance and stability, and strengthen the structural integrity of our subtle and causal forms. This kind of healing lays the foundation for cultivation. Along the cultivation tract, we offer guidance, tools, practices and community for the development of a Bhakti relationship with the Divine. And for those who wish to dedicate the bulk of their life to spiritual practice, we provide advice, counseling, tools and education for the activation of many different samadhis, deep and permanent spiritual states, foundational to the pursuit of many spiritual accomplishments.
It is our hearts’ desire to make these tools and practices as accessible as possible to people of all social, cultural and economic backgrounds. People of all ages, races and genders can do these practices. If you work full time, have children or possess limited means, you can do these practices. Many join us seeking samadhi and spiritual accomplishment, others simply wish for more peace, more grace, and more healing in their lives. We value and uplift all forms of engagement and sincere aspiration, and we encourage our community to view spiritual cultivation as a limitless and non-linear process— it is work that exists without origin and continues without end, blanketed forever by the eternal love and ceaseless, life-giving grace of God.
