Awareness Through Movement

Awareness Through Movement

Feldenkrais A.T.M. (Awareness Through Movement) Classes

The Feldenkrais Method is a form of somatic re-education based on principles of physics, biomechanics, learning/ development.  It is a vehicle for self-inquiry through mindful movement requiring thinking, feeling, and sensing.

Our patterns in movement are an expression of the mind's organizing patterns.  By engaging in gentle, non-striving movements, class participants have the opportunity to deepen their capacity for observation —the essential skill needed to reveal unconscious habits and loosen the pull of limiting patterns.

This method facilitates a tangible shift in perspective, enabling you to feel, process, and exist in your body with greater comfort, clarity and overall sense of well-being. The approach is entirely non-judgmental and centered on discovery, not effort.

For class, please secure a quiet space where you can lie down comfortably and be prepared to have your cameras on.

A visual connection is required to provide the most effective and supportive guidance.  These classes will not be recorded.

Everyone is welcome regardless of past, present or future spiritual orientation. All meditations are donation based and tax deductible. Donations can be made by clicking the link below. Thank you to all participants and everyone else who has and is actively aiding in providing these offerings.

For questions, please use the contact form below. Please note that the time is in the Pacific Time Zone.

Special Bodhicitta Meditation

Special Bodhicitta Meditation

One of our central philosophies and offerings is a focus on the white drop, also called Bodhicitta. Bodhicitta is a philosophy, spiritual orientation and a structure in our subtle bodies that when activated brings individuals into a state of samadhi characterized by the experience of connection to life, self on a deep level, all others and the divine. It is a mild transition into a samadhi meaning we haven't had experiences with anyone gaining mental, emotional or physical instability. It is a profound accomplishment on its own and has the potential to be the foundation for further realizations and samadhi experiences.

It's unlikely participants will reach a sustained samadhi state after one workshop and all meditations we offer have a cumulative effect. Some people notice the effects immediately, for some the experience is more subtle and build over time, often leading to more peace, clarity and happiness. Some people have a strong sense of the work during the meditation where others might not notice anything. The work is being done on everyone regardless of how much feeling is experienced during the meditation. When paired with an existing spiritual practice, these meditations can flow into and aid work individuals are already engaging.

In each Bodhicitta meditation, Theresa will employ her basic healing work that helps clear away short term stresses and long term traumas, feel more connected to our natural personality and feel more internally organized. She will also include extensive focus on everyone’s white drop with the goal of breaching the barrier between our experience of it looking in and the experience of it pervading our entire being. Theresa then works to help us more easily embody Bodhicitta with our thoughts and actions by resolving karmic patterns that drive us towards opposing thoughts and actions. She will also pray to many beings who have complete wisdom of Bodhicitta to help us achieve all these goals. Avalokiteshwara, Manjushri, Vajrasattva, White Tara, Amitayus, White Dzambala, and White Mahakala will all be asked to be present in this work during the meditation and to help each individual on their path moving forward.

Every meditation begins and ends with work on protection for every individual present and and energetic separation between all individuals attending including Theresa. The local beings or spirits around those attended are either invited to participate or dispelled from the area depending on their orientation to Bodhicitta.

Everyone is welcome regardless of past, present or future spiritual orientation. All meditations are donation based and tax deductible. Donations can be made by clicking the link below. Thank you to all participants and everyone else who has and is actively aiding in providing these offerings.

Ekajati Meditation

Ekajati Meditation

This is a meditation on Ekajati, Theresa’s personal deity for many years. One of the fiercest and most powerful of the female Buddhas, her commitment to supreme unity is absolute with one eye, one tooth, one breast and one (ek) lock of hair (jata). She grants protection, profound clarity and the removal of all obstacles between oneself and highest enlightenment. As a supreme protector, she deftly protects us from a supreme enemy: our own self-justification. To place yourself in her path is to place your ego in the deftly capable hands of the “Mother of the Mother of all the Buddhas.”

Everyone is welcome regardless of past, present or future spiritual orientation. All meditations are donation based and tax deductible. Donations can be made by clicking the link below. Thank you to all participants and everyone else who has and is actively aiding in providing these offerings.

A Prayer for the World

A Prayer for the World

This will be a guided meditation where we will bring the collective into a space of flowing compassion. The request for this meditation was made in response to recent world events. In this moment and moments like this, I believe it’s most important to hold onto your own basic goodness. If you feel swept up in anger, fear, sadness or concern, be present with it in the moment and then return to your own goodness. There is so much good that we can all do and if we get swept away by all the negative thoughts and feelings we are likely to miss out on the opportunities to help others and be in a state of loving presence. Keep showing up for your life, your mind and your heart so you can show up for the world. Consider what incentivizes you to lean into anger, fear and distress: what feelings and responsibilities do you avoid, what identity do you get to adopt, what group do you feel aligned with, what beliefs feel proven, do you feel safer inside yourself or do you feel like any impulsive actions you take are more justified? Consider the cost of holding onto distressing feelings against the willingness to allow them to ebb and flow. Consider the fierce engagement of compassion for everyone, not just those we see as victims or agree with. This meditation will include the wish for everyone’s well being - we are all cousins, this is all our family. I look forward to coming together for this - but the real change we can make is in the daily work. Difficult times can be the greatest opportunities to cultivate conviction about loving others, letting go of the illusion of control and practicing always returning to our goodness.

Everyone is welcome regardless of past, present or future spiritual orientation. All meditations are donation based and tax deductible. Donations can be made by clicking the link below. Thank you to all participants and everyone else who has and is actively aiding in providing these offerings.

Dhuni

For millenia mystics have understood that Fire can act as a gateway between our world and the Divine. This fire is an opportunity to offer anything you want to the Divine, your obstacles, pain, suffering, difficulties, hopes, dreams, fears… anything at all. The offerings are annihilated, transformed and underlying perfection is revealed.

Everyone is welcome regardless of past, present or future spiritual orientation.

Special Bodhicitta Meditation

Special Bodhicitta Meditation

Bardo Chö

Traditional Tibetan Bardo Chö

Join Theresa and Paige for Chö via Zoom!

The Bardo Chö is a Tibetan Buddhist ceremony performed to support the deceased, regardless of their religion, in the afterlife journey. It supports the passage beyond death by creating an environment of care, love and nurturance while traversing the bardo (realm between death and rebirth) landscape. It is best done within a year of a person's (or pet's) transition but can be done at any time to uplift their current situation. This offering assists in healing karma, clearing obstacles and guiding the departed towards their highest spiritual goals or aspirations. In a group ceremony, the ritual is performed for multiple deceased loved ones at one time. It can be offered once or regularly. In addition to supporting the departed, it provides comfort and connection for those left behind. If you can't be present for the live event, your loved one can still be included.

This is open to all and there is a $30 requested offering. To register click here.

The Reality Generating Mind

The Reality Generating Mind

Contextualizing Visions, Dreams & Mystical Experiences

These workshops explore the functions of our own mind and how we can develop beyond the limitations of the mind being its own self-referential machine. Many of the mental patterns we assume allow us to learn, develop, explore, and cope in very positive ways, but these same patterns can also lead to being overly attached, reactive, and conclusive in ways that stagnate much of our potential development.

This is also an exploration of how to exist in illusory reality in a way that is clear, harmonious, and productive within our own minds. I work with many people experiencing spiritual change that shifts their perspective, how they feel in their mind and body, and their overall processing. This course is meant to help individuals pave their own path of peace through change regardless of their spiritual background or orientation.

Everyone is welcome to attend workshops individually or as a full series. Sessions will be recorded for those unable to attend live. Tuition is $75 per class or $800 for all 12. We want these classes to be accessible to everyone—if you’re unable to pay the full cost, you’re welcome to email us to request a reduced or waived fee.

For questions, please contact us. Please note that the time is in the Pacific Time Zone.

Traditional Tibetan Healing Chö

Join Theresa and Paige for Chö via Zoom!

The Tibetan Chö ceremony combines sacred song, ritual instruments, meditation and visualization to purify the five elements of the body and mind. It is an approach for clearing deeper causes of illness which are believed to be psychological and karmic. While resolving negative energies, toxic influences and entities, it augments the forces that bring about health and generates cleansed spiritual consciousness. It can be used to resolve stubborn obstacles, either energetic or ancestral, that are difficult to access or unresponsive to other therapies. The result is greater ease in the areas of physical health, emotional peace and fulfillment in life.

We invite you to consider the tendencies you experience that you would like to release. Bring to mind the habitual patterns, physical discomforts, limiting beliefs and any other obstacles occurring in your life that you would like to shift. Whatever the issues may be, ready yourself for relinquishing them during the transformational Chö ritual offering.

This is open to all and there is a $33 requested offering. To register click here.
